At a ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, CDT was presented with two gold awards at the Computing Awards for Excellence, 1996.

The awards were for UK Information Technology Innovation of the year and also for technology transfer . In making the innovation award, the judges said that CDT's technology "left the opposition standing". In granting the technology transfer award they commented "LEP is a sexy piece of technology with a number of possible applications".

CDT are delighted to be the recipient of these awards, which recognise the developing significance of Light Emitting Polymers, and CDT's part in the development.

"On top of the recent news of our first licensing deal, it's been a great couple of months for CDT", said CEO, Danny Chapchal.
