CDT Appoints Keith Bergelt as Senior Vice-President, Strategy, Business Development and Intellectual Property

Cambridge Display Technology (CDT), a leading world-wide developer of display technology, today announced the appointment of Keith Bergelt, Senior Vice-President, Strategy, Business Development and Intellectual Property.

With more than a decade of senior management experience in commercialising early stage technology and intellectual property, Bergelt will be responsible for maximising CDT's business development opportunities.

Bergelt joins CDT from Motorola where he held the position of Director, Corporate Strategy and General Manager, Strategic Intellectual Asset Management. Here he was responsible for developing the value of Motorola's intellectual property, technology, patents and know-how while continuing to drive key strategic corporate initiatives.

Prior to Motorola, Bergelt was a senior consultant at SRI Consulting in California. Here he was responsible for developing and delivering strategy consulting services to telecommunications clients.

"Keith Bergelt brings to CDT a terrific combination of business development experience, deep knowledge of the telecommunications industry and experience of the strategic management of intellectual property assets. These are key skills for CDT to acquire at this critical stage in the development of its business," said David Fyfe, CEO, CDT.

Bergelt will be based in CDT’s office in Chicago, US and expects to spend a week per month at CDT’s headquarters in Cambridge, UK.
