Cambridge Display Technology Appoints Stewart Hough as  Vice-President Business Development

CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom, (December, 6, 2000) – Cambridge Display Technology (CDT), a leading world-wide developer of display technology, today announced the appointment of Stewart Hough as Vice-President, Business Development.

Hough is a veteran of the US display industry with 15 years engineering and management experience in the US, primarily in display and touch screen technologies. He will be based in California and will be responsible for business and market development in the US.

Hough joins CDT from Candescent Technologies, a field emissive flat-panel display manufacturer where he held the position of Marketing Manager. During his three-year career at Candescent, Hough was responsible for market and product development.

Prior to Candescent, Hough worked as a business manager for Fujitsu Microelectronics in its plasma display division. Here he was responsible for market, product and technical development, growing the business from a turnover of $3 million in 1995 to more than $10 million in 1997.

"Many of CDT's potential customers and technology partners are located in the US, particularly on the West Coast and it has been clear for some time that CDT needs a senior physical presence in this area to carry out business development activities. Hough is a senior player in the US display industry and brings a strong combination of technical and commercial strengths and marketing instincts," said David Fyfe, CEO, CDT.
