Skills Development

CDT has designed and developed a series of skills development and transfer programmes to help companies to accelerate their progress up the learning curve.  These programmes are a combination of theory and experiment conducted by highly qualified CDT personnel who are practitioners in their art.

Individual customer requirements are addressed in providing packages which will bring about the best skills transfer in a short time and cost effectively.

In general, there are currently three broad types of programme available:

  • Short -introductory course aimed for companies with no prior experience in PLED technology
  • Standard - standard theory and device fabrication techniques
  • Advanced - the most advanced theories and state-of-the-art device fabrication techniques

A complementary range of modules can be assembled from a selection such as the one shown below:

  • Introduction
  • Introduction to phosphorescent technology
  • Introduction to photovoltaic technology
  • Inkjet printing process (PM, monochrome)
  • Inkjet printing process (PM, colour)
  • Spin coating process (standard process – 2-inch
  • Spin coating process (standard baseline process – 6-inch)
  • Spin coating process (standard baseline process – 14-inch)
  • Spin coating process (Advanced process – 2-inch)
  • Spin coating process (Advanced process – 6-inch)
  • Selection techniques (PLED material, anode, cathode)
  • Glass-to-Glass Encapsulation (14-inch)
  • Modelling (optical, electrical)
  • Modelling (quantum-chemical)
  • Device testing techniques
  • Degradation studies and techniques
  • Materials science techniques

The skills transfer modules are specially developed to provide a complete picture of device fabrication and testing, including the interdependency of one process step and the next.

You can significantly reduce the cost and risk of your company’s development phase by sharing the most advanced techniques and methodologies with CDT, the world’s leading PLED technology company.

Use skills development as a stepping stone to gain access to the fast growing world of PLED technology.
